Marketplace Terms of Service

Last updated February 2026

MyNative is a marketplace that connects learners with independent native-speaking teachers (natives). By creating an account you agree to these terms.

1. Our role

MyNative provides the platform, scheduling, video rooms, messaging and payment facilitation. Natives are independent contractors and are not employees or agents of MyNative. We do not supervise, direct or control the content of lessons.

2. Accounts

You must be at least 16 (or have verifiable parental consent) to hold an account. Keep your credentials secure; you are responsible for activity under your account.

3. Bookings and payment

Learners pay the rate set by the native at the time of booking. MyNative deducts a platform fee of 5% of the lesson price; the remaining 95% is paid to the native's connected payment account. Payment processing is handled by our payment provider.

4. Cancellations

Cancellations and refunds are governed by our Refund & Cancellation Policy, which forms part of these terms.

5. Acceptable use

No harassment, hate speech, sexual content, spam, fraud, or attempts to move payment off-platform to avoid fees. We may suspend accounts that breach these rules.

6. Content and messaging

Messages are encrypted at rest and accessible only to the two participants. You retain rights to content you create; you grant MyNative a licence to display profile content for the purpose of operating the marketplace.

7. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, MyNative is not liable for the quality or outcome of any lesson. Our aggregate liability is limited to the fees we received in connection with the affected booking.

8. Changes and contact

We may update these terms and will notify you of material changes. Questions: legal@mynative.online.
